I like how standardized the menu is for both drinks and food! Got to try come really different flavors of warm alcoholic beverages and different styles of serving. Definitely worth a experience. We ordered vegetable fiesta with Doro wat curry.
I had been wanting to eat Ethiopian cuisine for year and a half and finally got to experience it. I liked a few things in the vegetarian feast that I had ordered. Also liked the Ethiopian Tea which reminded me of a tea that my father made for me. I wanted to try tef injera but they were out of it. It also has a nice ambience where they give experience to sit in the basket seats.Overall its a place that I would go once in 6 months because I found it expensive for vegetarians.
In a word....Yes. Food good, yes. Atmosphere, yes. Good Service, yes! For those like myself that's had great Ethiopian food, homemade and dining out... It's a must.
The food is fresh and flavoured. Good new dinner experience! I also tried the tea cognac its spicy peppery feeling and it's featured.
Great service. Very friendly but it is not my type of food. I know Ethiopian food has more. I think it is great option for vegetarians. The taste is good.
Authentic unique cuisine. You begin your meal with a steamy hot towel to cleanse your hands.
You will not be disappointed waitresses are dressed in authentic clothing are knowledgeable and helpful with choosing dishes. We always up for the vegetarian platter with lamb and chicken on the side it is a small portion but it’s definitely a delicacy to have meat. Extremely tender and well seasoned. Vegetarian platter is all you can eat. Healthy fulfilling meal and fun to eat with hands! Also try their home brewed tea it’s refreshing.
First time at an Ethiopian restaurant but it was an interesting experience. We went in for restaurant week and ordered the "blue Nile feast". The food was good, but rather than the entire spread I think next time is order a few of my preferred dishes. We got the bread pudding and brownie for dessert. Maybe it wasn't the smartest choice but the brownie was so dry and not good while the bread pudding was much better. The drinks were a nice touch but rather expensive. The service was lacking. I drink a lot of water and during the main course they did not stop once (~30 minutes).
Delicious food! If you have not had Ethiopian food, this is a great place to first have it. Forewarning- you will more than likely get the all you can eat veggies, but you can pick a meat to go with it. Ethiopian food is eaten with your fingers and injera (think of a crepe), so don’t be alarmed when you don’t get silverware :)
